World Trade Center Hub

New York, NY

Designed by Santiago Calatrava, the World Trade Center Transportation Hub is a vast project planned to accommodate the arrivals, transfers, and departures of trains and people in lower Manhattan.

At over 800,000 SF, the project starts at street level and extends to a depth of 60 feet below grade. The crown of the project is a dramatic pavilion of glass and steel that will bring natural light to many of the railroad platforms and spaces below. The design is further distinguished by great interlocking “wings” that form the roof of the pavilion and extend overhead for more than 150 feet. Through URS, DACK provided estimating and scheduling services on this project.
